A Pitch For Spotify To Increase Awareness and Interactiveness

I recently looked into a social media business for another one of my business classes and couldn’t help but make the connection between the content of my paper to this blog. The task at hand was to select any business and pitch an idea that would significantly increase its revenue. My selection was Spotify–an online music platform that has become extremely prominent in the social and online marketing realm. I decided to focus on the possibility of engaging further with consumers by providing them with a new television software that will allow them to listen to their music through a fresh source. The major problem at hand is predicting whether this action would turn out to be a success or a flop due to the competition of other similar softwares (ex: Apple TV). Could this be a revolutionary idea and goldmine for Spotify? Or does it not even stand a chance and not “fix what ain’t broke?”

  1. I think it could be successful, but it will really depend on how it is implemented. This is already a competitive space, so you need the right strategy.
