Digg Introduces Video Section

In a desperate attempt to reinvent itself, Digg launches a new section of its site Digg Video. This section just consists of a list of videos that are popular on Digg. Digg has decided to create this section because it believes that videos attract more traffic. Do you believe that videos are enough to save Digg or do you think it needs an even stronger social marketing strategy?

  1. Personally, I think that their most successful strategy so far has been a good old fashioned email marketing push, by emailing people daily digests of interesting content. It is a good way to remind people that Digg isn’t dead.
