Photographer Puts Two Strangers Together For Intimate Photographs

Again, not really sure what this has to do with social media. Perhaps I can draw a connection to the fact that social media and technology create barriers between human interactions and can, in a way, completely rob people of the “human moment.” You have a lot of “friends” on Facebook, but do you actually care about them? Do you actually know all of them? Does it matter?

This photographer paired complete strangers together and asked them to act like family. The results are surprising. Some photographs show the true compassion that humans, in general, can have for each other. (The others are really awkward.)

Haha this is hilarious. Especially the guy narrating it. Maybe it doesn’t have much to do with social media, but I agree that this shows what people miss out on by using it so much. Interesting to see how much compassion people can have for strangers. I feel like it would be much harder to feel true compassion for someone over the internet, although people certainly succeed in that as well. Ever heard of that show Catfish? lol
