Twitter’s Product Roadmap Has Become Too Data Driven

An interesting article about how Twitter’s product strategy is beginning to feel scattered and disjointed, and it lacks a real sense of coherent design oversight due it’s rush to become a public company. Twitter is a company most of us use every day and it is a little shocking to read that a company with such a innovative and popular product could be struggling.

  1. While I agree that there are dangers with blindly relying on pure testing (e.g. achieving short term gains at the cost of long term ones), I find it funny that the author of this article uses his own personal intuition and beliefs about how Twitter should be to evaluate the changes. That is precisely why tests are needed, because we all of strong beliefs, and these are often wrong.
