Google Takes A Stab At WOM & Buzz Marketing

Google is following in the steps of Red Bull, Starbucks, Under Armor and more by taking advantage of its loyal user base. Unlike some other campaigns, there is not a clear reward for users who participate besides the “obvious answer” of a better search engine.

Will Google need to incentivize users with something else in order to get the outcome it is looking for?

  1. So far most of the reactions that I have read are pretty negative. People have some serious privacy concerns about this.
