The article is a bit lengthy but gives good information into running and utilizing a successful twitter account.
There are some interesting points about keeping your various social media profiles separate.
This article is really interesting. I agreed with many of the rules, but also disagreed with others. I really took note of “Unless you are 14 years old, don’t make your account private. No strangers will want to request to follow you.”, and yet the first rule suggests that twitter can (and is) used to help boost careers. Privacy has become even more of an issue now due to the internet and available social networks, so I guess it really depends on what you are putting on your twitter account. Yesterday, I saw someone tweet “Twitter aka publicly talking to myself on the internet.” Do you really want your boss/colleagues to know what’s going on in your head?
