Social Media Etiquette

    Josh, this is a very interesting and relevant article. All of these rules are applicable to each of us in our daily lives since social media is so heavily ingrained in our culture. I think the most important is “respect the community” Too often, individuals in a social media community spend time tearing down others’ posts, disrespecting individuals’ opinions, and posting spam to a conversation.

    My favorite of these rules might be the one against “Pushing the Envelope.’ I feel like many IRL marketing/advertising campaigns could benefit from this list just as much as internet users could.

  3. Thanks for sharing! All of these rules will come up in class in one way or another during the course of the semester. In a couple of lectures we will even discuss the scientific evidence for “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine”
